Heritage 250 Awards and Cultural Excellence Banquet

In honor of Erie County 250th celebrations, the General Pulaski Association and the NYS 250th Commemorative Commission, Erie County, will recognize 250 individuals with the Award in Cultural Excellence.

This banquet honors those who furthered the mission of their cultural organization, exemplified outstanding service to their cultural community or community at large, facilitated cross-cultural relationships with their interaction and leadership, or contributed to the well-being of Erie County and Western New York.

There is no cost to nominate individuals, and no cost to receive this award. All honorees are invited to participate in the 88th Pulaski Day Parade, and their organizations are invited to set up tables and tents in Veterans Park to further community engagement.

Join us for the 88th Pulaski Day Parade!

The 88th Annual Pulaski Day Parade will take place on September 12, 2026 at 11:30am in Depew between the Municipal Building and Veterans Park.

Line up for the parade will begin at 10:30am at the Depew Municipal Building.

The Heritage 250 Fest will follow in Depew’s Veterans Park.

All parade participants will receive a commemorative Heritage 250 ribbon and pin.

During the parade, redemption tickets will be handed out for a free mug (1 per person) that will be given out in the basket raffle tent in the park.

The annual Pulaski Day Parade is one of the most historic annual cultural parades in the United States. Previous Grand Marshals of our parade included U.S. President John F. Kennedy and U.S. VP Nelson Rockefeller.

The General Pulaski Association is dedicated to preserving the memory and legacy of General Casimir Pulaski through educational, cultural, and commemorative events that foster historical awareness in the Western New York community and beyond.
